 Marine Technology Program - 145 Hours

GET ON THE WATER! Interested in water, boats, marinas? A career in Marine Technology may be for you!

This program is designed to prepare students to function as entry-level marine service technicians. Tasks relate to product service and rebuilding, basic engine theory and shrink wrapping. 

You will learn:

  • Basic Electrical
  • Basic Engine Theory
  • Safety
  • Seasonal Boat Preparation
  • Shrink Wrapping
  • Trailer Repair
  • Trailering 
 

Location: Southern Adirondack Education Center, 1051 Dix Ave, Hudson Falls, NY 

This Marine Technology Program is a collaboration with Employment Training for Adults, Saratoga Economic Development Corporation, Eastern New York Marine Trades Association and Saratoga, Warren & Washington Workforce Development Board.

According to data from MRAA and NMMA studies on the New York Marine Industry Economic Impact, $735 million account for annual retail sales of new boats, engines and marine accessories in New York. More than 4,900 jobs are supported by boating in just three upstate NY congressional districts (19, 20, 21) that ENYMTA represents.
