Industrial & Performance Machining - 500 hours

This 500-hour program is designed for adults who are interested in entering the machine tool trade. This course introduces basic skills and mathematics related to machine shop theory. The class is a mixture of lecture and practical shop experience where students gain the necessary skills to enter the industry. This program was developed to address the current and anticipated need for machinists in specialty machine shops across the region as well as in companies engaged in advanced manufacturing. Local employers designed the program in collaboration with the Saratoga-Warren-Washington Workforce Development Board and WSWHE BOCES.

Program timing: Typically 6 months
Classes run: Typical schedule is: Monday through Thursday from 5:00pm-9:00pm and every other Saturday from 8:00am-4:30pm

Process 
Candidates interested in this program will need to work with their local career center to:
• Determine funding eligibility 
• Complete a math assessment 

 

Advanced Industrial & Performance Machining Program - 200 hours

 

This 200-hour program will prepare students for the next level of machining.
